Inspiring cleaning activity at Temple Trail, Taloja Hill, India

We bring you this wonderful news update, as our Regional Coordinator volunteer in India, Mrinalini Nigde, shares her recent activities with us.

iNaturewatch Foundation is hosting a series of restoration and clean-up activities on the Taloja Hill (Lord Shiva Temple) trail. Mrinalini recently participated in one of these events and had a wonderful experience. In this way, a small group of dedicated individuals came together and inspired us!

Volunteers at work

The iNaturewatch Foundation reported that on Sunday, 24th August, 2 volunteers from the Global Tree Initiative, along with 2 local volunteers, participated in a de-weeding activity at Temple Trail, Taloja Hill. Their collective efforts are helping keep the trail healthy and accessible, supporting biodiversity and making it more enjoyable for the community.**

Mrinalini expressed her heartfelt appreciation to everyone who helped to make this wonderful activity possible. She writes:

“Neena, you are a homemaker at present. However, in spite of your busy schedule, you joined on 15th August to volunteer for cleaning activities at the trail. We appreciate it.

Sachit, you are a student at Pillai College of Arts, Commerce, and Science. You chose to work hard to clean the trail on a holiday. We appreciate it.

Abhishek, you are a software engineer at Publicis Sapient. You still travelled 2 hours just to join us for today’s de-weeding activity. We appreciate it.

We look forward to a long Association to maintain the trail. Also, in the future, I look up to you as leaders who will get their own communities to look after this trail. In this way, we connect to our own natural habitat and become partakers of this noble intent to restore nature with the iNaturewatch Foundation, with its founder, Shubhalakshmi.

Global Tree Initiative India is grateful to all volunteers and the iNaturewatch Foundation for creating this space where we can serve nature.”

Wow, thank you so much for telling us about this wonderful project, Mrinalini! We appreciate the work that you and the team at iNaturewatch Foundation are doing, and we look forward to learning more about your future activities!

iNaturewatch Foundation hosts many environmental activities, and you can join them! Have a look at their Facebook page, and stay up to date with their latest activities.
