A message from our Global Coordinator Director and Regional Coordinator for Aruba, Hans Timpner.

Reflecting on the year 2025 for the Global Tree Initiative, it was an interesting year, and the projects that were initiated and completed were very wholesome!

The tree planting at Sera IMI House, as well as the planting at TCV, Ladakh, India, were good projects and well executed. The same goes for the Trees for Schools project in Australia, done by our Regional Coordinator and the Daylesford Dharma School. This was a great initiative, and will certainly be going into the history of the Global Tree Initiative as a great accomplishment!

Another cherry on the cake (or maybe a cherry on our tree), was the Kelusa Tiny Forest project in Bali, Indonesia, and the way this was approached led to a very good start and will surely bear many beautiful fruits in the future.

As for 2026, the signals are all set to continue with these two projects in Australia and Bali/Indonesia, and it would be great if we, in our global community, could initiate a similar project in India, one in Africa, and maybe even one in South America.

We are very grateful to our dedicated team of volunteers. Hopefully, in 2026, we will expand our team and get some more committed volunteers to continue with the good work. Another idea for 2026, is to see if we can make a big bang, social media-wise, for the Global Tree Initiative! What comes to mind, is a Global Online Party, where we could showcase some of our community members and their projects, and promote their incredible work! If you have any ideas or proposals, or would like help organizing such an event, please get in contact with us!
