“Don’t Just Grow Old, Grow Trees!” – MAYA, Zimbabwe
This week’s success story looks back at what happened one year ago.
Jussa, our regional coordinator in Zimbabwe, told us about the 50 trees they planted at the Mutare Adventist Primary School.

One of the saplings that were planted.
Here is what Jussa had to say:
Last week (in February 2025), we had the privilege of facilitating a tree-planting initiative with Mutare Adventist Primary School students! Together, we planted 50 trees, reinforcing the vital message: Don’t Just Grow Old, Grow Trees!
This initiative aimed to educate and empower children about the crucial role trees play in combating climate change.
By instilling environmental awareness and responsibility in young minds, we’re nurturing a generation of eco-conscious leaders who will shape a sustainable future!

A group of inspired kids, about to plant trees!
Jussa, this is so great to hear and see. Thank you for the ongoing, incredible work that you and MAYA (Manica Youth Assembly) are doing. We are so happy to be partnered with MAYA and to share the joy that you bring!
We wish you and all the children at the Mutare Adventist School a beautiful year, and we hope that they will enjoy seeing their trees “grow old”.
We invite our community to like and follow the MAYA Facebook page, and to see how you can support their ongoing projects.
