Barry, professional hole digger and supervisor of Mark & Jill.

In recent feedback, Mark told us that “We continue to plant ecological species at Redesdale. The steep slopes of basalt boulders were once covered in local Wattle species that are so important to stabilize the soil, add soil nitrogen, and provide habitat (flowers, pollen and seed for many species, including birds, reptiles, and ants).

The wattles were also an important wood, medicinal, food, and gum source for use by indigenous people and local Dja Dja Warrung.”

Recent Plantings

A total of 13 plantings were made, consisting of:
Acacia Implexa (Lightwood) 4x
Dianella Revoluta (Blue Berry Lily) 5x
Juncus Sp. (Rushes) 4x

After the planting, Mark and Jill dedicated their work to “the long life and continued teaching of HH the Dalai Lama and the swift return of the rebirth of Lama Zopa Rinpoche in Nepal.
And to all people suffering mental health issues at this time; may they find peace, contentment, and happiness in the future.”

Thank you so much for telling us about your recent plantings, and for your beautiful dedication, Mark and Jill! We are always happy to hear from you, and we appreciate all that you do for Mother Earth.
