New Year Mewsings from Jorge – give love to get love…

Mama talks to me about stuff and teaches me things. Most days I see her get into her car and drive away. I look out the window, so she knows I see her. I wonder, where does she go? But then after I sleep for a while, and play, and eat, I just know she’s coming home. I just know. Later, I look out that same window and greet her with a silent ‘hello!’ then I jump onto the floor by the door, waiting to greet her. She likes it. I can tell. I also know she knows I’m in need of some love, pretty much right away. I know she needs love, as well. I can’t wait for her to put everything down so we can greet each other! I’ve heard some visitors say that this is like what a dog does. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not, but I think it is.
Speaking of dogs, my Uncle Bobby has a dog, and she is sweet. She is much bigger than me, but she is always very gentle. My lesson is to be caring, kind, and gentle and she showed me that.
I learned that what I give, I get. You should try it. Let me know if it works for you, too.
When my Auntie Alane found out I was writing this blog with Mama she gave me a cat Buddha for inspiration! I look at it and it brings me peace. I know there’s something more to discover with it and it makes me think about connections we have with each other. Something like we’re all connected. I can’t say it well because I’m just a little cat, but I feel it. I’m still learning and happy to tell you what I know so far.
Love is the best thing and I enjoy sharing my love with the world. I learned everyone needs love. I try to always remember that. Mama says I’m making a difference. That makes me feel useful. She talks to me a lot and tells me all kinds of things. I learn from listening to Mama and her friends.
Sometimes I get out of the house and try to be in nature with the trees in my yard. I like them. They make me feel comfortable. I like to roll around in their leaves on the ground too! Auntie Alane shared some pictures from her recent trip to a place called Allegheny Park in New York and she said I can share them with you. I don’t where that park is, but I see the beauty. She told me and Mama all about her visit there and I long to go. I just sit, listen, get pet, and loved and it makes me feel special. It’s relaxing to listen to them, and they sound so happy to talk about being in nature. It makes me think about how wonderful nature is and to seize every moment you can. It’s the best connection to everyone and everything.

C’est tellement vrai tout ce que tu dis Jorge. Avec Shimalala, une de tes consoeurs, nous parlions de tout, on aimait jouer ensemble, faire des ballades dans la garrigue, se poser et faire des câlins. Nous avons appris beaucoup de choses ensemble et les plus importantes sont de rester conscient et ouvert à l’autre pour pouvoir donner de l’amour, ce que nous avons toujours fait toutes les deux.
