QS World Merit is a global charity working towards creating a more equal world. They inspire and empower changemakers by rewarding doing good with opportunities provided by their partners.

The Global Tree Initiative (GTI) partnership with QS World Merit was celebrated on Friday, August 12, with an inspiring webinar launch of the Trees for Merit Global Tree Planting Challenge.

This launch was the culmination of months of collaboration between the GTI team and members of QS World Merit.

The Challenge runs from August 12, 2022, until August 2023.

Everyone is invited to join with friends, family, the local community, municipalities, or NGOs, to plant trees! Planting trees is an excellent community-owned exercise.

Tree-planting actions are to be reported on the QS World Merit App. Merit points will be awarded that can be exchanged for opportunities.

The number of people who get together for a tree planting activity will be one of the indicators considered when measuring impact and giving out rewards.

All trees reported during this challenge will be dedicated on the Global Tree Initiative global planting map.
